How Can You Help?

Sponsor a Child
What can an ordinary person like me do to help the poor? Recent research from University of San Francisco confirmed the overwhelmingly positive impact child sponsorship has long term. Through assessing data collected on adults who were sponsored as children in the 1980’s they show significant educational, employment, leadership, church leadership and development improvements over those who were not sponsored.

The research also showed that “the patient nurturing of self-worth, self-expectations, dreams, and aspirations may be a critical part of helping children escape poverty”. And because “the key to ending poverty resides in the capacity of human beings—and their view of their own capacity—to facilitate positive change.” Finally, you can pray for your sponsored child knowing the details of their needs and lives because of the intimacy MCM offers. This beautiful thing ordinary people can do for children trapped in poverty is give HOPE! So you want to change the world? Sponsor a child!

Support Community Development – Make a Donation
For some people making a donation towards community development is another way to change the world. Your gift can provide the financial support needed to build self-sustainability initiatives such as boreholes, solar power and farming (tilapia, chickens). These efforts not only provide food but build a stronger village through jobs and community development. A stronger community means stronger family units that are willing to help provide homes for orphans in need.

MCM’s ministry is funded by donations from the general public. Donations are solicited with the understanding that MCM has complete discretion over the use of all donated funds and reserves the right to exercise control over the funds it receives to support its exempt purpose.
