Family History:
Alvin’s father, Vincent, was a policeman. In 2019 while on duty, he fell off the high rise building he was guarding and died. Alvin’s Mum, Evas, was staying with Alvin’s Grandma, Lydia, in the village as Vincent worked in the city. About a month after Vincent’s death, Evas left her children with Lydia, her youngest being 9 months old. Both Alvin and his little brother are being taken care of by their grandmother, Lydia, who is a farmer and growing older and unable to farm as she used to do. Alvin’s Uncles have occasionally sent Lydia food to feed the boys but no tuition fees.
