Family History:
Brave’s mother, Evarist, got pregnant while still living at home. Evarist did not disclose the man responsible so Brave’s father is unknown. Eventually Evarist got married to a different man who did not want Brave. Evarist left Brave behind with his grandmother, Roy, while he was still a toddler. Brave has been raised by Roy, an older lady now, who is a peasant farmer and is growing weak and cannot provide for him.
